New contracts for Volkswagen Group brands' dealer organisations
|
Wolfsburg - On 1 October 2003
Volkswagen AG and Audi AG are introducing a new contract for the dealer
organisations of the brands Volkswagen, Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles,
and Audi. This is the result of intensive and constructive negotiations
with the dealers association on the terms of the contract including the
remuneration system.
In the context of an
expanding and renewed range of models, price harmonisation within Europe,
and optimisation of the sales network the contract offers, from the
manufacturers' point of view, a stable economic basis for the dealership
partners. Alongside amendments regarding legal issues, the changing
demands of customers and the market are central to the new harmonised
contract for Europe. For instance, the sales concept has been modified
with performance standards and a new performance-related remuneration
system.

The Skoda contract and
remuneration system is also largely identical to the Volkswagen and Audi
system. Negotiations with the Skoda dealers association are just
approaching their conclusion.
The SEAT brand already
introduced a modern, modular contract in Germany at the beginning of 2002
following an earlier cancellation of the previous structure. The new
contract already conformed to the new Block Exemption Regulation and is
being applied in a similar form to the other European markets.
The new VW and Audi
contracts, which are currently being presented and explained in detail to
the sales partners focus on further developing the high quality of support
provided by the dealerships, improved orientation of all retail activities
to customer expectations, and optimum communication of brand-specific
experience values.
