formal gala. Audi is implementing its new showroom concept on an
area of around 1,000 square metres, thus underscoring its
premium credentials. “The exclusive showroom marks a further
milestone in the Audi company’s success story in China,
combining unique design with ultra-modern cars made by Audi and
simultaneously strengthening the image of the Ingolstadt brand
in Hong Kong,” explained Ralph Weyler, Board Member for
Marketing and Sales at AUDI AG, who had travelled to Hong Kong
to host the opening ceremony.

With the opening of the
new showroom, Audi is further expanding its presence on
the Chinese market. Vehicle sales have been increasing
at a double-digit percentage rate for a decade. In the
first nine months of this year alone, vehicle sales in
China and Hong Kong went up to 60,467 (584 of which in
Hong Kong) compared with 36,658 for the same period last
year. This represents an increase of 64.9 percent.
Highlights of the opening ceremony
apart from the unveiling of the Audi S8 were the appearance of
the world-famous harpist Jung Kwak and a charity campaign in aid
of the “Audi Driving Dreams” project. Audi Driving Dreams is a
partnership between UNICEF and Audi China and supports street
