Dr. Rudolf Krebs (50), at present
Director of Powertrain Development at Volkswagen
Aktiengesellschaft, becomes Plant Manager at the Salzgitter
plant. He succeeds Manfred Mazen (55), who becomes Technical
Vice President at FAW Volkswagen Automotive in Changchun
(China)
In China, Mazen replaces Otto Joos
(51), who has been appointed Member of the Board of Management
for Production at Volkswagen de México. To date, these duties
have been performed by Otto Lindner in addition to his
responsibilities as Chairman of the Board of Management of
Volkswagen de México.
Dr. Jens Hadler (41), currently
responsible for model series development at Volkswagen
Commercial Vehicles, succeeds Dr. Rudolf Krebs.
Dr. Rudolf Krebs studied mechanical
engineering and joined the Group in 1996. He was responsible for
gasoline engine predevelopment in Wolfsburg until 2002 and then
moved to Audi AG in Ingolstadt, where he also held
responsibility for various engine development departments until
2005, before becoming head of powertrain development at
Volkswagen Aktiengesellschaft in Wolfsburg.
Manfred Mazen joined the Group in 1977.
The engineering graduate’s posts included powertrain production
at Skoda. He is already familiar with FAW from his time as head
of powertrain assembly between 1997 and 1999. He subsequently
assumed responsibility for vehicle production at the Mosel
plant. In 2000 he was appointed head of production at the Kassel
plant before moving to Salzgitter in 2004.
